Who We Are

Eno River Academy (ERA) is a K–12 public charter school in Hillsborough, North Carolina. We serve 838 students from six surrounding counties, offering a small-school environment with a strong sense of community, academic excellence, and creative opportunity. Our mission is to foster academic and artistic excellence while enriching cultural literacy through a rigorous, student-centered STREAM model (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics).

STREAM Model

Our STREAM framework integrates Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to build critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Students engage in inquiry-based learning, cross-disciplinary projects, and problem-solving that connect academics to the real world.

Extracurricular & Athletics

At Eno River Academy, extracurricular activities help students grow, lead, and serve both on campus and in the community. We encourage every student to explore their passions through athletics, the arts, and a wide range of student-led clubs.

Athletics

Eno River Academy is a proud member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA). Athletics play an essential role in promoting teamwork, discipline, and school spirit.
High School Sports: Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheerleading, Basketball, Swimming, Golf, Esports, and Baseball.

Arts & Activities

ERA’s arts and performance programs inspire creativity and confidence through Theatre, Band, Chorus, and Visual Arts, providing students opportunities to perform, exhibit, and lead.

Student Clubs & Honor Societies

Our student-led clubs reflect the diverse interests of our learners—from leadership and service to creativity and innovation.

  • Key Club, Pride Club, and Women’s Empowerment Club (leadership & inclusion)

New this year is the STREAM Club Program (launching Fall 2025), offering high school students and parent volunteers the opportunity to lead after-school clubs for K–8 students—extending hands-on learning through Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
