Board of Directors

Board Roles & Responsibilities

The ERA Board of Directors guides the school’s mission through stewardship, governance, and strategic planning. In partnership with the Executive Director, the Board sets the policies and strategic agenda of the school.  The Executive Director is accountable for execution, and the Board oversees school performance.  With a commitment to transparency, the Board ensures that:

  • ERA’s strategic goals are defined, supported, and achieved

  • ERA’s academic program is successful

  • ERA’s operational programs comply with terms of our charter, state laws, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards

  • ERA is a viable organization including financial solvency and competent professional staff

Board Membership

There are seven voting directors:  six parent directors and one community director.  Directors are appointed by the board to hold officer and committee roles.  Three non-voting administrators also sit on the board.  Board operations are guided by established by-laws.

Board Committees

ERA’s Board has created working committees, consisting of board members and experts outside of the board.  The Board relies on the committees’ expertise and diligence to inform decision-making and provide oversight related to:

  • Academic Excellence

  • Finance

  • Fundraising

  • Governance

Committee responsibilities and planned meetings are listed on BoardOnTrack
