Blast November

Good afternoon Bobcats,

My wish for all of you is that Daylight Savings is kind to you and your family!  Please remember that we do not have school next Monday or Tuesday, November 10 & 11.  Good luck to our winter athletes during try-outs this week and next!!

Have a great week,

Kristin

Congratulations & Good Things:

  • The 4th & 5th grade musical performance was outstanding and TIMELESS!!!

    • Thank you to Mrs. Greene and the Specials and 4th/5th grade teams and Coaches for their flexibility!  Thank you to the families for attending & the kids looked great!!!

  • Huge thanks to the Hillsborough Kiwanis Club for presenting ERA with a check for $300 in an effort to serve all children of the world and community one child at a time!

Updates:

  • Report Cards: 3rd-8th Grade Report Cards were sent home on Wednesday, October 29, marking the end of first quarter!

    • K-2 Report Cards will be sent home at the end of the Trimester on November 10.

    • Nov. 10 - Conference Day - you may be asked to attend a conference by the teachers, OR you may request a parent conference any time!

  • 8th Grade Parents: Did you know that the high school holds monthly tours for prospective high school students? If you haven't visited the high school before, we encourage you to come join a tour and check it out! Your 8th grader will get a tour of their own in the spring when we have them shadow a high schooler during high school transition season.

  • Parent Conferences: The November 10 Teacher Work Day has been designated for Parent Conferences.  K-8 teachers will be offering to hold conferences that day.  If you would like a Parent Conference, you can reach out to your child’s teacher at any time (not just Conference Day)!

  • Playground Equipment:  Our 2-5th grade playground spaces are looking for donations of new equipment such as jump ropes, hula hoops, yard games, footballs, soccer balls, or kickballs. Please bring any donations you have to Mrs. Hover in the front office by the end of the month!

  • Save the Date: Children’s Market will be Saturday, December 6 from 10-12. Applications are due to Mrs. Hover by Thanksgiving Break!

  • Save the Date: K-2 Children’s Market will be Friday, December 5 from 8:00-9:00 am in the K-2 Building.  This is the culmination of the Goods and Services Unit.

  • Book Fair - Last Week!: Shop the book fair online for one more week!

  • Eno River Academy’s Health & Physical Education Department is seeking donations of gently used camping tents and golf clubs (both right- and left-handed adult sizes). The acquisition of golf clubs will allow us to introduce golf into our PE curriculum, as equipment availability is currently our greatest obstacle. Camping tents will be utilized as part of our Outdoor Recreation unit later this semester.

Donated items may be dropped off in the Main Office at either the Lower School or High School campus. If you have any questions or need assistance with arranging a drop-off, please contact Coach Pierce.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and programs!

Respectfully,

Michael Pierce
