Updates:

  • ERA's Board of Directors will have their next regular monthly meeting Tuesday, October 28 starting at 5:30 p.m. at ERA's HS conference room and virtually at this link.  Public comments are welcome and can be made in person, over Zoom, or submitted in advance (no later than 1 p.m. Sept 23) to board@enoriveracademy.org.  We hope to see you there.  More information and links about ERA's Board can be found here.  Information is continually updated, so check back often.

  • Report Cards: 3rd-8th Grade Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday, October 29, marking the end of first quarter!

    • K-2 Report Cards will be sent home at the end of the Trimester on November 10.

  • Parent Conferences: The November 10 Teacher Work Day has been designated for Parent Conferences.  K-8 teachers will be offering to hold conferences that day.  If you would like a Parent Conference, you can reach out to your child’s teacher at any time (not just Conference Day)!

  • Playground Equipment:  Our 2-5th grade playground spaces are looking for donations of new equipment such as jump ropes, hula hoops, yard games, footballs, soccer balls, or kickballs. Please bring any donations you have to Mrs. Hover in the front office by the end of the month!

  • Eno River Academy’s Health & Physical Education Department is seeking donations of gently used camping tents and golf clubs (both right- and left-handed adult sizes). The acquisition of golf clubs will allow us to introduce golf into our PE curriculum, as equipment availability is currently our greatest obstacle. Camping tents will be utilized as part of our Outdoor Recreation unit later this semester.

Donated items may be dropped off in the Main Office at either the Lower School or High School campus. If you have any questions or need assistance with arranging a drop-off, please contact Coach Pierce.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and programs!

Respectfully,

Michael Pierce

  • The HS Chorus & Honors Piano Concert is happening Thursday, October 30th at 6pm at First Love Community Church. We hope you can join us!

  • Athletics Fundraising (Booster) Interest Meeting:

Date: Wednesday 10/29

Time: 4:00

Location: High School Commons

Hello athletics parents!

My name is Tricia Gebe, and I’m the mom of Sam Neef (MS Soccer) and Will Neef (HS Soccer).  After some discussion amongst ourselves at different times this year, there has been interest expressed in having more robust parent involvement in fundraising for the needs of our athletic teams.  I reached out to Coach Oakley about this, who explored our options for this within the bounds of the efficient and effective preexisting fundraising framework that ERA operates under.

Based on this interest, we think it would be a good time to organize, send a representative to the fundraising committee meetings, and have a core group of parents who organize efforts to benefit athletics.  Some things in this category would be apparel sales, concessions, and providing an avenue for more involvement by athletics in the preexisting fundraising efforts.  I would love input from interested parents on how this core group should look (parent from each team, age groups, etc), and how the roles should be defined (President/VP, volunteer coordinator, social media, community outreach, fundraising committee rep).

Please feel free to share this with other parents, and reach out to me at pgebe30@gmail.com, or 919-302-1866.

Take care, and go Bobcats!

Tricia
