Good afternoon Bobcats,

It is hard to believe that fourth quarter and spring break are here!  We are still in need of parents that would like to participate in World Heritage Day.  Please sign up to represent your heritage - we would love to learn more about all of our families and their cultures.  Additionally, you may have seen the tunnel that is being built by our 8th graders -  To help make the project possible, we are asking for donations of native plants. To make donating easy and ensure a good variety, we have set up a SignUpGenius with specific plant slots:

Congratulations & Good Things:

  • The 8-10 year and 11-13 year old 4-H teams both placed 1st at the Regional Dinah Gore Healthy Cooking Competition and will go on to compete at the State competition in May.

General Updates and Reminders

  • Revised ELA Standards: On January 8, 2026, the NC State Board of Education (SBE) adopted the 2026 ELA Standard Course of Study for implementation in the 2027-2028 school year.  The current 2017 ELA Standard Course of Study would remain in place for classroom instruction for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years.  ERA staff are working hard to learn the new standards and effectively implement them by the 2027-2028 school year.

  • ERA's Board of Directors will have their next regular monthly meeting Tuesday, March 24 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the ERA HS conference room and virtually at this link.  The draft agenda can be found here.  Public comments are welcome and can be made in person, live over Zoom, or submitted in advance (no later than 1 p.m. Feb 24) to board@enoriveracademy.org.  We hope to see you there.  More information and links about ERA's Board can be found here. 

  • STREAM Fest: Parents of students in grades 3-5, you should have received an email from Ms. Preddy asking about the afterschool availability of your child for the STREAM festival.

    •  On Thursday, April 16th from 2pm-5pm the students will be running fun hands-on booths for the K-12 school community. After 3pm I need to know who can stay so I can coordinate coverage of their booths. My goal is to have everyone cover only a 30 minute time so they can also experience the other booths. If you didn't receive the google form, here is the link. Please fill out before spring break! Thank you!

  • MS Performing Arts Needs - The Middle School Performing Arts class is working on their rendition of Aladdin!  Here is a link to some things that they need to have donated or to borrow.  Thanks for considering and helping!!  Performances are April 22 and 23rd - Save the Date!

  • 🌍 Join Us for World Heritage Day! 🌍

We welcome parents and guardians who are interested in sharing a piece of their heritage—whether by contributing food, lending an artifact, wearing customary attire, sharing fun facts, or participating in another meaningful way. If you would like to be involved, please complete the participation form by March 6, 2026.
