One of the challenges of being a relatively small charter school is that many of the teachers are essentially a professional learning community of one. They may be the only person teaching their particular course, doing their particular job, or dealing with a particular responsibility. Our teachers will be meeting with other charter schools staff and teachers to learn and collaborate about the unique challenges that being a team of one or few can bring on September 21st. Additionally, our teachers will be undergoing CPR training in the afternoon. To ensure that our school is a safe and thriving environment for all.

Who Are We? Personality Project 5th Grade Math & Science 

Fifth graders gathered, organized, and visually represented data about themselves and their classmates across 6 different categories. They displayed their completed data representations on a poster to answer the question: "Who Are We?" They worked on this project in Math (NC.5.MD.2), and during study hall. Curious about your results? Movie Night hosted by the Spanish Honor Society

The Spanish Honor Society is hosting a screening of the “Book of Life” on Friday, September 25th at 6pm in the high school gym.  Admission is $5 or 3 cans of food, concessions will be sold. Come out and support their fundraiser!

Interested in helping out during the school year? We have an opportunity for you! In the spirit of our 30th anniversary, we are hoping 100 people will volunteer 30 hours this year! After School Activities

Did you know we are a Boxtops for Education school? No longer do you have to clip your boxtops and bring them in, there is now an app! Click this link to download the app, and scan your receipts within 14 days to give credit to our school. 

Substitutes Needed

Hours are 7:30-3:30 for K-8 and 8-4 for high school. Only can commit to a

Parents can now order their yearbooks at the cheapest price of the year, using this link!

Please note that although it says "Upper School" this is the K-12 yearbook and includes elementary and middle school!

Vision to Learn 

Vision To Learn will be on campus this year providing free vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses for students—at no cost to families.  If you wish to opt-out of services, please do so ahead of time so your student is not included for participation during our school visits. All services take place during the school day.  If you do not want your student to participate, complete this form.

Duke Football Fundraiser

NEXT SIGN UP DATE: SEPT 26th

This is an opportunity to make a lot of money for our ERA athletics programs. We will need 12 parents and up to 4 kids per game, but kids must be 16 and up. You will work at a Duke football concession stand, and it's busy! We will make 10% of that stand's proceeds. Please wear ERA gear as you work if possible. All adults will also need to complete online training before working (once you sign up, Brad will send you the link). October Teacher Appreciation Lunch 

This month we are focusing on 8th and 11th grade families (but anyone and everyone CAN help!) to help supply the staff a delicious lunch before their professional development on Wednesday October 7th. Donations can be made towards the Jersey Mike's sub trays through this link - note October lunch!

Pantry Donations Needed 

Granola bars, apple sauce and small water bottles would be very appreciated! Drop off your donation during the morning carline, or have your child walk them into the front office. 

Shoe Donations Needed

Accidents happen at school, and sometimes to shoes! We are starting a small loaner closet of shoes in case of mishap. Any gently used shoes in various sizes would be much appreciated.  Drop off your donation during the morning carline, or have your child walk them into the front off. 

Board of Directors 

The next regular BOD monthly meeting Tuesday, September 29th starting at 5:30 p.m. at the ERA HS conference room.   Public comments are welcome and can be made in person, live over Zoom, or submitted in advance (no later than 1 p.m. Sept 29th) to board@enoriveracademy.org.  We hope to see you there.  More information and links about ERA's Board can be found here.
